    Created in the Netherlands by Adriaan de Cock in 1949 as a cross between the French Lop and the Netherland Dwarf. Now the most popular small lop in the world.

    Breeding recommendations
    • Very lively, restless, and inquisitive personality.
    • Requires high attention and out-of-cage exercise for mental health.
    • Low maintenance short coat, but ears should be checked regularly.
    • Compact size (1.4–1.8 kg) suitable for standard indoor hutches.
    • Lop ears appear at 6–8 weeks.
