Breeding recommendations
- Reaches up to 5.4 kg at maturity with a heavy, muscular build.
- Heavy frame needs large cages and wide doors to prevent ear injuries.
- Very docile and calm; thrives with consistent human interaction.
- Re-mate does at 10–11 days post-partum for semi-intensive production.
- Slow mature; first mating 6–8 months.
